LITERACY PROGRAMS PLANNED LITERARY WALK ERLE STANLEY GARDNER FESTIVAL Pre-school Tutor/Reading Training Program Our Vision: Provide the resources for the training of volunteer high school students to tutor/read to pre-school children. (Facilities, Materials, Classes, etc.) Pre-school Tutoring/Reading Program Our Vision: Orchestrate a regularly scheduled program for high school volunteer tutors/readers to tutor/read to pre-school students. (Facilities, Transportation, Security, etc) K-12 Mentor/Tutor Program Our Vision: Work closely with local School and Community officials to identify students "At Risk" and coordinate efforts of Big Brother/Big Sister/Boys Club/Girls Club programs to reach students "AT Risk". (Mentors, Camps, Community out-reach groups, Recruit volunteers, etc.) Literacy Needs Recognition Program Our Vision: Work closely with School officials to develop and deploy a "Needs Recognition Response Program" to identify and respond to literacy deficiencies and basic needs of students. (Guidance, Finance, Tutors, Clothing, Reading, Writing, Computer) Literacy Resource Program Our Vision: Provide online links to successful literacy programs, provide information on local literacy programs. (Information dissemination, Materials publication and distribution, etc.)
