This year, there is a WRITING CONTEST with three Entry Categories.
The three categories are competing for ONE SET of prizes:
- ONE FIRST PLACE PRIZE
- ONE SECOND PLACE PRIZE
- ONE THIRD PLACE PRIZE
- ONE FOURTH PLACE PRIZE
- ONE FIFTH PLACE PRIZE
Contest Categories are as follows:
- Mystery Writing Category. This years Literary Walk will include the inaugural Erle Stanley Gardner Festival and since Mr.Gardner was a mystery writer, we have included a Mystery Writing Category.
- Romance Writing Category. We would like to bring romance to the Literary Walk, therefore, there is a Romance Writing Category.
- Mystery With A Thread Of Romance Writing Category. For the Authors and Writers to display their talents.
RULES & REGULATIONS
ALL CONTEST WRITINGS WILL BE JUDGED ON CREATIVITY, STYLE AND ORIGINALITY. Each must be a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 1200 words. Each submission must be typed, doubled spaced, and printed on plain white paper. ALL submissions must be mailed to:

MONETARY CONSIDERATIONS
Only submission that are accompanied with a $25.00 fee will be considered.
All submissions are $25.00 for the first entry and $10.00 for each additional entry up to five entries per individual per category.

- All fees per individual must be included in the same check, money order or cashiers check.
- Only complete payments will be accepted.

If you are a minor under eighteen years of age, please, click here for information on the Youth Writing Contest. Please, include a recent photograph with your writings.
The Adult Writing Contest is for Authors/Writers 18 and older only.
ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
WRITERS, please, use appropriate language only; submissions with OBSCENE or VULGAR LANGUAGE, SEXUALY ORIENTED and/or BIGOTRY ORIENTED of any kind will not be accepted.
AUTHORIZATIONS AND CONCENT
By entering the writing contest you grant Flyerette & Web and literarywalkette.1hwy.com permission to publish your writings as a "Literary Walkette Writing Contest Winner" and/or reference to your writings on the web site.
(Please note, Flyerette & Web and literarywalkette.1hwy.com primarily objective is the promotion of literacy and quality literary works.)
Winners are encouraged to attend and participate in the Saturday, November 3, 2001 "Literary Walk/Erle Stanley Gardner Festival", where the contest winners will be announced. Actual location TBA.

Location of the announcement of the "Literary Walkette Adult Writing Contest" winners will be placed on the web site at a later date or e-mailed to all entrants, or both.
By entering the writing contest you agree The PRODUCER of the "Literary Walk/Erle Stanley Gardner Festival" will not held liable or responsible for cancellations of the event caused by an act of God, acts of disaster caused by mankind, civil unrest, government or political intervention.
should the "Literary Walk" be canceled due to an act of God, acts of disaster caused by mankind, civil unrest, government or political intervention, the event shall be produced either in whole or in part at a later date.
CONTEST OPENS ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2001 AND THE DEADLINE DATE IS OCTOBER 1, 2001. (All writing must be original).
